These singles events are incredibly popular, so to attend you'll have to be one of the first 15 guys or 15 girls to book. You'll need to get to the venue by 7pm for a 7.15pm kick off. The dating goes until 8.45pm.

At the start, you'll be given some matching slips and a question sheet if you need them. During the evening you'll spend between 8 to 12 minutes in conversation with each member of the opposite sex. When the bell rings the men move on to the next lady. Many people use the interview time to simply chat, others like to be guided by our question sheet , and some bring along their own questions. As the evening progresses, you write down the names (firstname and initial as sometimes there is more than one person with the same first name) of anyone you'd like to get to know better.

Matches should never be preplanned. Then if you both select each other it has a much much greater impact at the end of the night and can be truly magical and a fantastic surprize start to a really strong involvement and you should then take immediate action and make immediate plans there and then with a true match.

Will you be lucky in love? Speed Dating

At the conclusion of the speed dating sessions, it's time for discovering the matches. This is where all the dating slips are compared by your host in search of two-way, or recipriocated, primary matches. Usually 50-60% of participants get a match, that is with the person of your choice who has also chosen you too as the one they want to get to know better! Some even get more than one! - what an interesting problem to have! (be prepared if this happens to you). Secondary matches (reconsidered selections can take your chances of getting a match to 80%! Hence speed dating is the quickest most practical way to find that 1 in 900 who is a perfect match for you.

Reciprocated primary matches are disclosed to the lucky participants on the night. Secondary matches can be discovered upon enquiry at the end of the event.

Since the events finish around 9pm, everyone can stay back and have dinner together as many choose to do and then there is more chance again to find someone in case you need more time to discover qualities. You could suggest a person you are interested stay back for dinner.

What to do if you get a match

If you do get a match on the night, swap phone numbers, arrange a date within days, and stay back and have a drink together or go off together. The keen ones don't have dinner beforehand but have dinner with their match there and then. This is a good way to get to know each other better and the dinners for us there on the night are only $12.90!

If you get more than one match, just swap phone numbers with your matches and stay back and chat with the group and arrange to meet each matches later. Dates should all be organized by and for the end of the week.

You only pay if you have had a good time - no risk !! This new system is proving very popular and numbers are limited - so be sure to book early or you may miss out.
